Tuh-dah! Enter a pollinator heavy weight, worthy of any garden. It’s hard to know who’s better at attracting the insects, Agastache or Helenium? Whatever the answer, it’s too close to call and in any case, you should have them both! If you give this pant a good mulch, which will help retain moisture, then this plant will reward you and the wildlife more than you could imagine. ‘Moerheim Beauty’ can come in many variations, all in the same plant, with flowers ranging anywhere from streaked yellow, orange or red, taking on a multi toned affect, which is great for picking out tones in neighbouring plants and is especially useful in autumn, where the leaves of shrubs and trees change and grasses beginning to take on a golden hue. Heleniums are brilliant from mid/late summer, right through to first frost and will make sure any visiting bees are well stocked with nectar and pollen for winter. I can not emphasise enough, just how important a plant this is for bees, you’ll be amazed!
